Frequently asked questions.

FAQ’S

Q: How many weddings have you photographed?

A: I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over 350 weddings. All over the country and beyond.

Q: What is your photography style?

A: My photography style is a mix of natural and what I call “framers”. I aim to capture lots of candid moments as they happen, as well as some unique couple shots that would look amazing framed on your wall.

Q: How many photographs do you take on a wedding day?

A: The number of photographs I take can vary depending on the length of the wedding, weather and time of year

place. On average, I deliver around 1000 edited images from a full day of wedding coverage.

Q: How long will it take to receive our wedding photographs?

A: I aim to deliver the final edited images within 4-6 weeks of the wedding day. I will also provide a handful of sneak peek of pictures within a week of the wedding.

Q: Do you offer video?

A: Yes I do! I’ve recently added a highlights video package to my services. This isn’t a full wedding video but a compilation of little clips from throughout your wedding day. I won’t record audio from the ceremony and speeches but the video will be set to music. If you’d like a full wedding video with full ceremony and speeches I can recommend some great videographers too. Please check out my wedding highlights video page for more information.

Q: What kind of equipment do you use?

A: I use high-quality professional-grade cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment to ensure that I capture the best possible images on your wedding day.

Q: Do you have back-up equipment?

A: Yes, I always have back-up equipment with me. This ensures that I can continue to capture high-quality photographs even if there is an equipment malfunction. I take my role as a wedding photographer very seriously and always come prepared. I have back-ups for back-ups

Q: Can we request specific shots or poses for our wedding photographs?

A: Absolutely! Before the wedding day, we will discuss any specific requests or shots you would like me to capture.

Q: Do you offer engagement shoots as well?

A: Yes, I do offer engagement shoots as part of my wedding photography services. This is a great way for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. But not essential. I’ve covered hundreds of weddings without pre weddings shoots.

Q: Do you do family group shots

A: Yes, I do group photographs. Group photographs can be an important part of wedding photography and I usually take them during the post-ceremony photo session. I work with the couple beforehand to determine which group photographs they would like taken. This allows us to get through them quickly and not miss any. I usually say around 10-12 different groups is plenty.

Q: Do you do posed couple portraits and if so, when?

A: Yes, I do posed couple portraits. I usually take these portraits during the post-ceremony photo session or during the reception if there is enough time. I also work with the couple beforehand to determine which poses they would like to do.

Q: Does it matter if you haven’t worked at my venue before?

A: It doesn't matter if I haven't worked at your venue before. I’ve shot hundreds of weddings without seeing the venue. If possible I will arrive early to have a scout around or during the meal. I will also have a look online at your venue before the wedding day. Things like light and weather might determine where we take photographs on the day so I try not to get too caught up in locations beforehand.

Q: Do you use a second photographer?

A: I have an option to add on a second photographer which would give you coverage of a second person getting ready and more coverage throughout the day. I also shoot lots of weddings solo so am happy with either scenario.

Q: Are you Rick Astley?

A: No but I’ve often been told I look like him at weddings. And in terms of your wedding I’m…. “Never gonna give you up, Never gonna let you down…..”
